GENESIS37 PRODUCTIONS
His talent extends as a songwriter and an aspiring
producer where he has also begun establishing a
production label entitled “Genesis37Productions”.
Ray is always looking for new talent to work and
grow with and is currently collaborating with
several new artists in Melbourne. After speaking
with Ray on his new projects, Ray puts it as,
“Ground-Breaking!"
"Mixing music has provided me with the experience of
how ‘other’ producers out there produce their work.
Mixing music (or as others out there may call it
music mashing, white-label mixing, etc) is not my
way of disrespecting the artist’s (producer’s) work,
but it’s a vehicle for how I would have made their
track sound better. Having that mentality allowed me
to branch out and do my own beats and tunes which I
find more exciting than mixing other people’s
music.”
Ray’s production roots run deep. His influences run
vast from Motown to Mozart. He admires the song
writing of Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam, Dianne
Warrick, Babyface and Stevie Wonder, just to name a
few. “One of the reasons why I admire Eddie Vedder's
songwriting is the careful depth that's taken to
every single androgynous word and lyric - The melody
he uses stands out in your mind and tells a story. I
give respect to other producers out there such as
Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, Teddy Riley, Jimmy Jam &
Terry Lewis, DeVante Swing, Chad Hugo & Pharrell
from Neptunes and Timbaland”
Genesis37Productions is a music production label
focusing on: 1. producing mixes for club djs; 2.
producing mixes for performance dance groups; and 3.
producing tracks for new upcoming local talent.
